Jane DodgeIt is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and your faithfulness by night...I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. Psalm 92:1-2,4

Home

He did it! He did it again! God provided our little rental house! We just got the keys... we are just under 4 miles from the seminary. Our half of the duplex has 2 bedrooms, living room area, eat-in kitchen, bathroom (clawfoot tub :). It is little. It is old. BUT, it has pretty new carpet and fresh paint. We also have a bit of backyard and a little shed (though it is falling down), and enough room to park our trailer and our truck.

And a tree with beautiful blossoms right of the tiny back porch.

And we share the duplex with an older couple.

And it is a new fridge so I don't have to spend days just scrubbing that!

And the water and gas are getting turned on TOMORROW.

And there are two air-conditioning units (aparently last summer there were 60 days straight of 110degrees with no rain...I think I will learn to really enjoy AC).

And while we were working on finding apartments, a couple from the seminary invited us to stay with them... they have 2 adorable little girls... and we haven't had to get a hotel every night.

And we were able to store our trailer at the seminary and not drag it all around Dallas the last 4 days.

And we have a part-time job with our landlady (4 hours a week each) that will almost cover our rent!

And...

God is good.

It was so nice to talk to my old roomy tonight!

I just went to post this and was going to add a "currently..." but I'm not listening to anything, or watching anything... or reading anything (except my xanga) or gaming.

Well.. I am currently eating mac n cheese... white cheddar mac n cheese. :)

Hey. I was going to post. But now I don't remember what I was going tell you all.

I'm tired. We were offered overtime lastnight so we both stayed an extra 2.5/3 hours and worked til 2 am. Today we are at PBU.  I am hoping to run into my little brother... he's leaving for Israel!!! So soon, all you IJSers. Tell my parents hi for me. :)

Can I help you?

I am a WalMart employee. Interesting. I am not quite sure how I feel about that. But, my reasoning is this: I need a job while I am in the area (c. 4 months? we'll see, cuz KEVIN WAS ACCEPTED at DALLAS!), I also really wanted a job that I could jump into quickly in Texas so that we can get loans and a house and whatever we need to get started there...(I was looking at Starbuck's...but it was too far).

The job is an answer to prayer. So is the acceptance.

We are both off today... we are at PBU. Maybe we'll see you around!
